On Monday, December 11, 2023, the Bristol Water and Sewer Department will continue flushing hydrants in the following areas:
Church Street, Main Street, South Street, Memorial Boulevard, George Street, Hull Street, Porter Court, Buckingham Street, Hillside Avenue, South Street, Cawley Street, Tuttle Street, Emily Lane, Wilcox Street, East Road, Father Crudele Drive, Ridge Road, Downs Street and some of the surrounding areas. We will continue flushing this area until the next area is posted.
We will flush hydrants on these streets and the adjacent areas starting at 8:30 a.m. and ending at 2:30 p.m., to allow customers to run their cold water until it runs clear. Low pressure and discolored water is to be expected during flushing and for short periods afterwards. We recommend you refrain from washing clothes during this period. You should run an outside faucet or the cold water in your bathtub until the water runs clear.
