On Monday, April 14, the Bristol Water and Sewer Department will begin our 2025 hydrant flushing season. The following areas may be affected:
Harvard Place, Chapel Street, Pinnacle Road, Penwood Place, Hill Street, Aldbourne Dr, Treble Road, Knob Hill La, Cidermill Road, Marsh Road, Royal Dr, Chippenwood Dr, Great Pyrenees Way, Southdown Road, Perkins Street and Larkspur Lane, Suffolk Pl., and Skyview terr. and some of the surrounding areas. We will continue flushing this area until the next area is posted.
We will flush hydrants on these streets and the adjacent areas starting at 7:00 a.m. and ending at 2:00 p.m., to allow customers to run their cold water until it runs clear. Low pressure and discolored water is to be expected during flushing and for short periods afterwards. We recommend you refrain from washing clothes during this period. You should run an outside faucet or the cold water in your bathtub until the water runs clear.
